Car & Driver Magazine Names Boxster "Best Luxury Sports Car"
2006 marks the 24th year that "Car & Driver" has conducted its 10 Best Cars Competition. The rules are simple: the 2005 winners are invited to compete once again while the magazine's editors search their automotive database to identify other cars that are all-new or significantly upgraded for 2006. Cars that were considered in previous years but lost are not invited to participate until they meet the editors' redesign threshold.
Otherwise, all nominees must also have a base price no higher than $71,000, which amounts to 2.5 times the average new-vehicle transaction price as of August 2005. Eligible cars must also be promised for sale no later than January 2006, and the manufacturer must deliver an example to "Car & Driver" for their evaluations.
We are proud to offer our customers the car that "Car & Driver" praised for its "pinpoint balance, augmented by reflexes worthy of an Olympic fencing champion, make[ing > the Boxster the ideal tool for dissecting an autocross course or unwinding a kinky stretch of deserted back road."
